Our good friend Sean Connor, the highly respected Kelowna Capital News photographer, has just returned from two months of specialized proton radiation treatment in Loma Linda, California, for a rare form of brain cancer. It's one of only two facilities in North America where this treatment is offered, and fortunately, the medical expenses are covered through the B.C. Medical Services plan.

Sean says he's feeling quite a bit better, but he and his family have had to pay significant money out on their own, for travel and accomodation during the Loma Linda treatments.
