Old Time Fiddlers

Aimie Laws

Fighting through the desensitized masses of the digital age isn't a feat that is easy to accomplish; the lyrics and voice of Songstress Aimie Laws have done just that.

Growing up in Salmon Arm BC, Aimie has been learning her trade at every opportunity. Like the phoenix Aimie's Alt/Rock/Roots music bursts forth from the ashes of broken hearts, and broken lives. Throughout all Aimie's struggles and success she remains above all, a humanitarian. Lending her talents to raise awareness about the issues facing today's society. Coming up in 2011 Aimie will be hitting the road with The ONLY HUMAN Rock for MS Tour, where proceeds will be donated to the MS Society of Canada.

Nadia von Hahn

Originally from Quesnel, BC, Nadia von Hahn has gone from high school eccentric, to musical theater maniac, and finally, a powerhouse songstress, all in a few short years. After packing her bags, and cutting off her teenaged-dreadlocks, this small town girl graduated as class Valedictorian from The Canadian College of Performing Arts, in Victoria. There she received a scholarship from the Canadian Heritage Arts Society, for her work in classical voice, acting, and musical theater. A diverse performer, Nadia has taken her layered artistic background and infused her own songwriting with playful drama, wistful sincerity, and stubborn hope.Nadia recently finished production on her debut EP "Wait And See What Happens", with producer Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas), at FaderMaster Studios in Vancouver, to be released October 5th, 2010.

Julia and Her Piano

Twenty year old Julia McDougall grew up in southern Saskatchewan in a town the size of a thumb tack. Even as a small child it was evident that Julia was passionate about music as she began taking piano lessons at the age of six. As Julia became older, she also began to develop a strong interest in creative writing. Before long both of Julia's passions magically fell together and she started to write small melodies and lyrics on the piano. She began playing local shows around southern Saskatchewan when she was fifteen and continues to play regular shows around Western Canada. Julia's songs can only be defined as her own. Her lyrics are powerful, honest and true to her prairie heritage. Her melodies, well at times rough and chaotic, are beautiful and unformulated.

Currently, Julia studies composition at Simon Fraser University.

Solarkis

Beginning his DJ career back in 2001, Ian Paul (aka Solarkis) started playing at local bars and venues in Fernie B.C. He initially played Trance but soon discovered that the electronic scene was yet to be really established in his neck of the woods. By throwing small parties here and there, he began to develop a following. Though he loved the Trance scene, something inside of him continued to yearn for a darker and harder style of music. 2 years later in 2003, the discovery of Hardstyle and Hardcore brought a new chapter to his life. After landing a residency at one of The Netherlands’ top internet radio sites, Hard.FM, Solarkis initiated the “HardTrauma” live series and played weekly shows to the internet masses, including entering Hardstyle Competitions against some of the biggest names in the harder scene and even represented Team Canada in the Hard.FM Country Battle and took Best North American Set!
