Aimie Laws

Fighting through the desensitized masses of the digital age isn't a feat that is easy to accomplish; the lyrics and voice of Songstress Aimie Laws have done just that.

Growing up in Salmon Arm BC, Aimie has been learning her trade at every opportunity. Like the phoenix Aimie's Alt/Rock/Roots music bursts forth from the ashes of broken hearts, and broken lives. Throughout all Aimie's struggles and success she remains above all, a humanitarian. Lending her talents to raise awareness about the issues facing today's society. Coming up in 2011 Aimie will be hitting the road with The ONLY HUMAN Rock for MS Tour, where proceeds will be donated to the MS Society of Canada.

The Matinee

The stomp and cheer of dancing shoes on sticky wooden floors. 3 a.m. phone calls of raw soul alcoholisms. A long drive down a dirt road into the sunrise. An empty glass. Laughter, hangover….The Matinée.

Music to drink to. Music to dance to. Music to sit on the porch and ponder. The roots-rock sounds of The Matinée evoke memories of family camping trips, men with guitars around the campfire belting out tunes of broken things & the open road…rising tempos bring the faithful to their feet, clapping & dancing until someone throws an aerosol can on the fire & everything explodes…

Sean Burns

The Ontario based Sean Burns is a Singer/Songwriter with a real knack for a catchy Chorus & memorable Melody. With songs that echo the sounds of Steve Earle, Blue Rodeo, and Tom Petty, and lyrics that embody the caustic wit of Tom Waits and Warren Zevon, Sean's music is a personable eclectic variety of styles that always seems to find a way to go together. While constantly performing Live and writing music in the tradition of the traveling Singer/Songwriter, Sean Burns is a real 'weapon' on the stage, delivering a unique brand of humour with an extensive repertoire of both Original & Cover songs.

As a full time Musician from the age of 16, Sean has a wealth of experience well beyond his 27 years, and has been lucky enough to travel the world while performing in everything from the sleaziest of Bars to top Casinos, Theatres, Cruise Ships, Arenas and even a couple of Bingo Hall and Retirement Homes along the way.
