Fighting through the desensitized masses of the digital age isn't a feat that is easy to accomplish; the lyrics and voice of Songstress Aimie Laws have done just that.
Growing up in Salmon Arm BC, Aimie has been learning her trade at every opportunity. Like the phoenix Aimie's Alt/Rock/Roots music bursts forth from the ashes of broken hearts, and broken lives. Throughout all Aimie's struggles and success she remains above all, a humanitarian. Lending her talents to raise awareness about the issues facing today's society. Coming up in 2011 Aimie will be hitting the road with The ONLY HUMAN Rock for MS Tour, where proceeds will be donated to the MS Society of Canada.
Without having heard a single tone of their new record the German government has picked Daniel Benjamin and his fellow players from thousands of other bands to represent Germany at USA´s SXSW and the Canadian Music Week in March 2011.
I'm a Canadian Singer/Songwriter currently living in Toronto, ON. I moved here to follow my dreams! I love what I do. I do it simply because I can't see myself doing anything else. Boring 9-5 desk jobs, hard labour jobs...not me. My goal is for millions to hear my music. Not for fame or fortune, but as a means of refuge; people find resolve in music. If one of my songs helps an abused women find the courage to leave, or just a relaxing melody to fall asleep to or drive to...hopefully the two would be unrelated :P

After 8 months of touring North America together, singer/songwriters Samantha Cathcart & Sherri-Anne have teamed up to form "Sister Speak." Whether performing as a duo, or backed by their astounding rhythm section, Sister Speak takes the talents of each musician to another level, combining mesmerizing vocals with elements of "Acoustic-Rock, Blues & World." The two artists met in the Chicago music scene shortly after completing their own debut albums. They have since toured the continent, playing at some of Vancouver's and Chicago's top music clubs and all over California. Canada's global TV interviewed the duo last summer and they were featured at the NAMM 2010 in January. Extensive touring throughout North America and a new album in is in the works for Sister Speak!
Twenty year old Julia McDougall grew up in southern Saskatchewan in a town the size of a thumb tack. Even as a small child it was evident that Julia was passionate about music as she began taking piano lessons at the age of six. As Julia became older, she also began to develop a strong interest in creative writing. Before long both of Julia's passions magically fell together and she started to write small melodies and lyrics on the piano. She began playing local shows around southern Saskatchewan when she was fifteen and continues to play regular shows around Western Canada. Julia's songs can only be defined as her own. Her lyrics are powerful, honest and true to her prairie heritage. Her melodies, well at times rough and chaotic, are beautiful and unformulated.
Currently, Julia studies composition at Simon Fraser University.
