Chloe and Kyle
History It all started when out of the blue, 3 year old Chloe begged to play the violin - until eventually, just before her 4th b'day she trotted off to her first lesson with her 1/10 size violin! Well, it was like she was born with a fiddle in her hands! She said "Mommy, I don't want to make a bad sound...." (Mommy was good with that!) Chloe was thrilled to have music coming out of her very own fingers and her younger brother, Kyle, could hardly wait to make music like Chloe! So, at the ripe old age of 3, he too, started to fiddle around and was so eager to show his teacher what he could do at his first lesson that he couldn't wait to go in the house - he pulled his violin out and started playing right in the driveway! From standing on a toy box at the ages of 3 & 5, and playing Suzuki tunes so their young cousins could dance; from playing Christmas carols for the homeless at a Salvation Army Christmas dinner; to playing the main stage at Salmon Arm Roots & Blues at the ages of 8 and 10, for over 5,000 music lovers, Chloe & Kyle have discovered the joy of sharing their gift of music with others .... Now 12 and 10, Chloe & Kyle, share their music with audiences large and small, as naturally as they breathe......And inspire others to share their gifts in the same way.....for the joy it brings others and themselves...... Between hockey and dance schedules, soccer and tennis games, playing with friends and their 20 beloved cousins, they find time to work on arranging tunes with the band's keyboard player and drummer (Dad & Mom).....and much to Dad & Mom's delight, they are finally in the studio laying down tracks for Chloe, Kyle & Company's debut album - "Around the World...in Just Under an Hour." The Journey From performances in Hawaii, to Vancouver's Children's Festival, Kelowna's Life & Arts Festival, Fat Cat Children's Festival, Parks Alive, the BC Summer Games, Peachland Heritage Festival, Rarearth Jazz & Blues Festival, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival, Celtic Colors Int'l Festival in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.....to schools, churches and senior's homes....wherever they've played their music, they've left the wonder and joy that is the heavenly legacy of children and music! Chloe & Kyle are so grateful for all the wonderful fiddle mentors they've had, who have taught at fiddle camps and given so freely of their time and expertise and musical passion. Along with those fiddle masters from North America and the UK, Chloe and Kyle have a deep sense of honour to be among the "bearers of the fiddle tradition", preserving and continuing a vital part of our culture and their own heritage. Music that moves your feet and makes you smile - that's the genre you'll hear from "Chloe, Kyle & Company" - from Celtic to Quebecois, Metis to Middle Eastern, gospel to blues, bluegrass to brand new - it's all about sharing a gift and leaving the joy behind!
