Kim McMechan is a poet and award-winning singer-songwriter. Her writing is grounded in the details of the everyday; sidewalks, elm trees, strolls by the water. She balances her writing and her music between raising her two small daughters. She is perhaps best known for her songs with Vineyard Music Group where, from 1998 to 2002, she released twelve songs on four compilation albums which have collectively sold, to date, nearly 90,000 copies. Her independent career began with Little Grey House, an 8-song EP of tiny acoustic songs featuring piano and cello (Richard St. Onge). It was quietly released in 2006 and received impressive reviews.
